HR and Payroll Adviser
Our well established and forward-thinking client is looking for a temporary, HR and payroll adviser, to join the company helping cover and run the operations in the company, this position could go permanent for the right candidate.
You will be taking part in the recruitment and election of applicants, payroll and benefits, employee relations and health safety and compliance, you will be required to offer support to all line managers with hiring, probation review, job descriptions, adverts, competency framework, coordinating shortlisting, interviews, and selection stages.
In addition you will be collating monthly payroll data, including joiners, leavers, and changes, ensuring accurate submission to payroll, responding to employee pay and tax queries and maintain accurate pay records, administering employee benefits including healthcare, life assurance, Tusker car scheme, and Employee of the Quarter awards, you will also be reviewing pay and benefits processes, identifying improvements and aligning with legislation and market trends.
In regard to health & safety you will be delivering day-one H&S briefings and ensure HR processes align with ISO and audit requirements, documentation for first aid, fire safety, and mental health first aid cover, supporting driver compliance processes and vetting requirements.
Ideal Candidate
• Strong generalist HR experience, ideally at HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor level.
• In-depth understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing payroll and benefits processes.
• Skilled in recruitment coordination and onboarding.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
• Confident communicator, capable of building strong relationships at all levels.
• Experience working with HRIS and ATS platforms.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) preferred.

9-5pm
30-37.5 Hours (Can be flexible)
Salary
£15.38 - £17.94 per hour
