Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an experienced HGV Technician. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role on a temp to perm basis, offering a competitive hourly rate and long-term opportunity within a professional workshop environment.

Monday to Friday
37.5 hours per week
Shift pattern: 07:00am – 16:30pm
Temp to perm contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Carry out diagnostics and fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
- Complete inspections in line with DVSA and company standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete preventative maintenance
- Ensure all work is documented accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to health and safety procedures within the workshop
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Liaise with supervisors and colleagues regarding vehicle status
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Recognised qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) preferred
- Strong knowledge of HGV diagnostics, servicing and repairs
- Ability to work independently and follow workshop procedures
- Good attention to detail and time management skills
- Class 1 or 2 HGV licence beneficial but not essential
