The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Field Service Engineer to join a leading power solutions provider. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and servicing customer and rental diesel generators, ensuring top-level performance and reliability.
You’ll be the face of the company on-site, so a strong customer focus and professional communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned servicing and maintenance of diesel generators (customer and rental fleet).
- Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs efficiently.
- Conduct site surveys when required.
- Participate in the on-call rota for emergency support.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across work areas and vehicles.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
About You
- Qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Diesel Engineering (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent).
- OR completed an approved engineering apprenticeship.
- Proven experience servicing and repairing diesel generator sets (e.g. FG Wilson, Cummins, or similar).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Previous field service experience preferred.
- Full UK Driving Licence (towing entitlement desirable).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- ECS, CSCS, or CCNSG card advantageous (training can be provided).
