Pertemps are recruiting for a Trainee NDT Technician on behalf of a leading testing company in the Dudley area. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a long-term career in Non-Destructive Testing within an accredited environment.
You will receive full training and development toward recognised certifications while supporting inspections on high-precision casting components.
Responsibilities- Assist with radiographic inspection activities alongside qualified Level 1 and 2 technicians
- Help set up equipment, prepare components, and process digital or film radiographs
- Follow strict safety procedures in line with internal radiation protection rules
- Maintain accurate documentation and support calibration and traceability tasks
- Contribute to a strong safety and quality culture
Skills & Qualifications- Interest in engineering, aerospace, manufacturing or NDT
- Experience in a hands on manufacturing environment is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- No previous NDT experience required — full training provided
Hours of work:
Rotating shift pattern
- Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, rotating to:
- Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm
Salary:
£25,000, with view to increase once certified
