Location: Troon, South Ayrshire (KA10 6DN)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year (including shift allowance)
Hours: Full-time | 3-week rotating shifts or constant night shift available

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our clients team in Troon. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll work alongside skilled colleagues to ensure the plant operates efficiently, with minimal downtime and maximum throughput.
You’ll work a 3-week rotation across:

• Day Shift: 6am – 2pm (15% shift allowance)
• Back Shift: 2pm – 10pm (15% shift allowance)
• Night Shift: 10pm – 6am (20% shift allowance)

A constant night shift is also available for those who prefer nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to plant breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Repair, replace, and maintain machinery and equipment
• Record completed work using IT maintenance systems
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and equipment faults
• Participate in summer and winter overhauls and maintenance schedules
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and meetings
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, including work permits
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across teams

What We’re Looking For

• Fully qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Relevant experience in a heavy mechanical or industrial facility
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
• Experience using maintenance systems and reporting tools
