Finance Administrator (Temporary – Until March 2026, Potential for Extension) Location: Primarily home-based, with the option to work from offices in Inverness or Edinburgh
Contract Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week 
Salary: £28,255 per annum 
The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented 
Finance Administrator to join their finance team on a 
temporary contract until March 2026, with the potential for extension. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy finance function within a well-structured public sector organisation, supporting a range of financial processes and administrative duties.  
Key Responsibilities - Process purchase orders and invoice batches using the organisation’s financial system
 - Manage and monitor the shared finance mailbox, ensuring queries are handled promptly
 - Provide financial administrative support to contract managers
 - Create and maintain supplier accounts
 - Complete month-end reconciliations, including journal and monthly spend checks (GPC & EEMS)
 - Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the Finance Support Manager
 
Essential Skills & Experience - Previous experience in a financial administrative role
 - Strong attention to detail and accuracy
 - Excellent time management and organisational skills
 - Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
 - Confident working both independently and as part of a team
 
Desirable Skills - Experience using accounting software such as SAGE, ORACLE, eFinancials, or similar
