We are working with an established engineering consultancy, this business offers a number of property related services and has offices across the region. We are looking for a structural engineer who not only has a passion for design but also for building and maintaining relationships and a progressive outlook on working with new and innovative software. Projects are interesting and diverse and include locally significant work. This business is expanding it’s existing portfolio in Cornwall and needs an experienced and enthusiastic engineer to support this goal and put their mark on this new team.

Requirements for the role:
- BEng/MEng/BSc or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Ideally knowledge of software such as Robot, Tekla Building Designer and Revit
- Experience working with building structures, both new build and refurb
- Strong communication skills; candidates will need to be able to liaise confidently with clients, contractors and architects
- Chartered or aspiring to chartership with the ICE or IStructE
Responsibilities:
- Leading technical delivery for the structural department and design team and being a point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Delivering detailed design of building structures both new build and refurb
- Liaising with clients, contractors and architects
- Aiding with the development junior members of staff
- Running and delivering projects which will increase in size and complexity as you gain experience
- Helping with the implementation of new software
- Have a key role in strategic planning
