THE ROLE:
As a Case Progression Lawyer, you will oversee Fitness to Practise cases outsourced to External Legal Providers, making sure investigations are conducted promptly, fairly, and to a high standard. You will lead and support a small team of paralegals, giving External Legal Providers guidance on evidence, strategy, and procedure throughout case development and hearings. Acting as the primary contact for the External Legal Providers, you will track casework, data, and performance information to detect and resolve or escalate where necessary. You will play an important role in ensuring high performance and value for money for the organisation.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be at least 3–5 years’ PQE as a solicitor, barrister, or CILEX Lawyer. You will be experienced in managing complex caseloads, conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and preparing cases for hearings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

This role requires extensive knowledge of UK regulatory law, healthcare regulation, and the rules of evidence, as well as the ability to make sound, evidence based decisions. The successful applicant will be highly organised, able to work under pressure, and skilled at building effective relationships with colleagues, witnesses, and stakeholders.
