Job Title: Lead Production TechnicianLocation: Oxford
Salary: £35,000 per annum
This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced motion-capture and tracking technology used across entertainment, engineering, and scientific research. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Lead Production Technician oversees the production build process combining hands-on assembly and testing with team leadership and workflow coordination.

Key responsibilities- Supervise Assemblers and delegate tasks to meet productivity and quality targets.
- Convert build plans into Manufacturing Orders and manage them through to completion.
- Assemble, program, test and align electro-mechanical units.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to component level.
- Oversee kitting and ensure accurate ERP stock transactions.
- Support stock control, organisation and stock take.
- Use correct documentation and maintain build accuracy.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design and Production teams on improvements and prototypes.
- Liaise with test engineers on order progression and RMAs.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and safe working practices.
- Contribute to quality control, waste reduction and continuous improvement.
- Support training activities and flexible working within the team.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience- Proven experience leading or supervising technical teams.
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- High level of attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Enthusiastic and committed to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Able to work effectively as part of a focused and collaborative team.
