Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Driver to join our team in Chatham. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for stability, with the potential to secure a permanent role. You’ll be responsible for multi-drop deliveries, vehicle loading/unloading, and ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently.
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary (Temp to Perm option for the right candidate)
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Complete 10–15 drops per day, depending on route
- Safely load and unload the vehicle – plenty of handballing involved, but equipment is provided to support
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in line with company standards
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
- Maintain excellent customer service when interacting with clients at delivery points
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence held for at least 1 year
- Minimum of 180 days’ driving experience on the road
- No more than 6 penalty points on licence
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle physical aspects of the role
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Competitive pay rate of £16 per hour
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday – no weekend work
