Job Description

This role focuses on supporting our pollution response by analysing operational and environmental data. You’ll help our Control Room and field teams understand what’s happening during pollution incidents, make informed decisions, and improve the way we protect the environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that plays an important role in reducing our environmental impact and improving our performance.

What you’ll be doing as a Pollution Reporting Analyst
• Supporting the 24/7 Pollution Coordination function during core business hours by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, logging decisions, and gathering environmental data during incident response
• Providing clear and timely communication to regulators, sharing concise updates and building strong working relationships
• Reviewing pollution response data to identify trends, highlight risks, and recommend improvements
• Working closely with the Waste System Operations Management team to assure response quality and drive continuous improvement
• Monitoring indicators such as weather and effluent quality to identify early risks, initiate actions, and track follow-up
• Ensuring accurate data capture and supporting the Control Room and field teams with technical environmental analysis during pollution incidents

Location: Hybrid – Kemble Court, RG2 6AD
Working hours: 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday

What you should bring to the role
• Experience in auditing is highly desirable, but the role could also suit someone who works closely with regulations
• A degree or equivalent in an environment-related science, or experience in pollution or operational work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in explaining technical and non-technical information
• Great attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• A collaborative approach and confidence in building relationships
