As a
Performance and Risk Analyst, you’ll play a key role in turning complex operational data into clear, actionable insight that directly impacts the performance of Thames Water’s Waste Water Regional Delivery teams.
This is a highly analytical role where you’ll help shape decisions on asset performance, operational optimisation, and risk management. By combining advanced data modelling with close collaboration across operational teams, you’ll ensure that our assets are performing efficiently and in line with regulatory standards.
What you’ll be doing as a Performance and Risk Analyst- Providing analytical insight to our frontline Waste Water Regional Delivery teams, focusing on the performance, risk, and optimisation of assets.
- Operating and maintaining data models that deliver intelligence and insight to support operational decision-making.
- Producing accurate performance reports and regulatory insights with clear commentary and visualisation.
- Analysing asset and operational data to identify performance trends and risk insights, presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to develop and track interventions that improve asset performance and reduce risk.
- Monitoring data quality and working with functional experts and data engineers to resolve issues and improve processes.
Base Location: Clearwater Court, Reading – hybrid (minimum of 1 day in the office, usually Fridays)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
What you should bring to the role- Strong analytical background, including experience with Excel, ArcGIS, Power BI, and SQL.
- Background of relevant business or technical experience.
- Proven ability to produce detailed management reports.
- High attention to detail with the ability to understand the wider business context.
- Strong communication skills and a self-driven approach to work.
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and relevant industry-specific tools.
