Senior GIS Analyst

We’re looking for a Senior GIS Analyst to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our spatial data. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, data analysis, and using GIS tools to support operational and strategic decisions across the business.

What you'll be doing as a Senior GIS Analyst

• Managing, maintaining, and improving spatial datasets to support business operations and project delivery
• Providing technical GIS support, analysis, and data visualisation to internal teams and stakeholders
• Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate standards
• Supporting system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements across GIS platforms
• Developing tools, reports, and maps to aid decision-making and improve data accessibility
• Mentoring and supporting junior GIS colleagues to develop their technical skills
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure GIS data and systems align with business needs

Base location: Reading, Clearwater Court RG1 8DB

What you should bring to the role

• Strong experience in GIS data management, analysis, and visualisation (e.g., using ESRI ArcGIS or similar platforms)
• Proven ability to deliver accurate spatial data and analysis in a large or complex organisation
• Understanding of data quality principles and experience maintaining enterprise spatial databases
• Experience with SQL, Python, or automation tools would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support and guide others
• A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to identify and drive improvements
