Practice Manager - SASH

Job Summary
We are looking for a Practice Manager to join Central SASH, an intensive intervention team based within the Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire (SASH). We are looking for an experienced practitioner who has experience of supervising staff and can demonstrate initiative and ambition to lead and shape the Central SASH service and work very closely with the Team Manager. This is a non-case holding role and typical duties include supervising adolescent practitioners(Similar to a Children’s practitioner) holding case consultations with SASH area teams and the Family Safeguarding Service and working closely with Rapid Response / ARC / CAMHS and Families Together Programme to avert crisis. The team office is at Farnham House in Stevenage with everyone working from a ‘work anywhere’ profile allowing practitioners to work remotely if this suits. The team is fun, energetic and sociable; practitioners have a wide range of specialisms and practice style. We work from a trauma-informed approach with an additional systemic lens.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
To support children and young people in achieving positive outcomes through delivering interventions to young people with the following presenting issues: · Child Sexual and Child Criminal Exploitation · Homelessness · Family Breakdown - preventing children becoming Looked After · Young People Missing from Home · Young People at risk of radicalisation · Children becoming Looked After · Rehabilitating Young People home after a period of being Looked After · Young People in the Criminal Justice System and at risk of entering the system To manage a team of staff, providing performance management and supervision to achieve targets and deliver an effective service.

Person Specification
- Must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to all aspects of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults
