Consultant Social Worker – Special Adolescent Safeguarding Hub (EAST)

💰£42.50 per hour

Pertemps are proud to be working with Hertfordshire County Council to recruit an experienced Consultant Social Worker for their Special Adolescent Safeguarding Hub (SASH) in the East of the county.

About the Role
This is a case-holding role within the SASH Team, where you’ll also provide supervision and support to unqualified members of the team. You’ll play a key role in safeguarding adolescents and supporting them to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.

You’ll work with young people facing a range of complex issues, including:

• Child Sexual and Criminal Exploitation
• Homelessness and family breakdown (preventing children from becoming looked after)
• Missing from home concerns
• Risk of radicalisation
• Young people in, or at risk of entering, the Criminal Justice System
• Rehabilitation home following a period of being looked after

Requirements
✅ Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
✅ Strong knowledge of current safeguarding legislation and practice
✅ Experience working with adolescents facing complex social and safeguarding challenges
✅ Confident supervising and supporting less experienced staff
✅ Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
