Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of Enfield Council for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Adult Social Care team.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong moving and handling skills to undertake double-handed care reviews. The successful candidate will assess and review existing care packages with the aim of right-sizing care where appropriate and promoting independence for service users.
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out detailed moving and handling assessments for adults receiving double-handed care.
• Review existing care packages and make recommendations to optimise support and resources.
• Promote independence and person-centred care through equipment provision, adaptations, or reablement approaches.
• Work collaboratively with care providers, social workers, and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with council procedures and professional standards.

Requirements:

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration.
• Proven experience in manual handling and completing double-handed care reviews.
• Strong understanding of Adult Social Care legislation and strength-based practice.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and time management skills.
