Occupational Therapist – Harrow Adults & Children

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Occupational Therapist to join the team in
Harrow, working across both
adult and children’s services. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference to people’s lives by promoting independence and improving quality of life through effective occupational therapy intervention.
The Role As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing professional assessment and intervention to individuals with
physical disabilities and learning disabilities, supporting them to achieve their maximum potential within the community.
You will provide
preventative and rehabilitative support, promoting independence and well-being, while ensuring safe and appropriate living environments.
Key responsibilities include:- Assessing the needs of service users in relation to daily living, mobility, and independence.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualised care and support plans.
- Recommending and facilitating the provision of specialist equipment, minor and major adaptations, and moving and handling techniques.
- Working closely with families, carers, and other professionals to achieve person-centred outcomes.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to promote safe and independent living.
- Monitoring and evaluating interventions to ensure effectiveness and value for money.
About You- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Proven experience working with adults and/or children with physical and learning disabilities.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, equipment provision, and environmental adaptations.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Car driver essential – ability to travel for community visits within Harrow.
Additional Information- Location: Harrow, Greater London
- Rate: Up to £38 per hour (depending on experience)
- Contract: Ongoing temporary contract
- Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)
- Hybrid working available
