Inclusive Practice Project Lead (SEND)
Location: Suffolk
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days working from home, 2 days office-based
Rate: £400 per day (Umbrella)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Interim / Project-based

Suffolk is seeking an experienced Inclusive Practice Project Lead to support the delivery of a SEND-focused inclusion pilot across multiple locality areas. This is a key interim role working in partnership with education leaders to strengthen inclusive practice and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

The Role: You will lead the rollout and evaluation of a pilot programme across a range of schools in three locality areas. The pilot will use robust data and evidence-led approaches to identify schools demonstrating strong inclusive practice, as well as those with emerging or developing practice requiring targeted support.
As Interim Project Lead, you will be responsible for driving delivery, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the pilot is implemented effectively and evaluated thoroughly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with education leaders and stakeholders to design and implement inclusive practice strategies
  • Lead the rollout of a SEND inclusion pilot across identified schools and locality areas
  • Use data and performance insight to identify strengths, gaps, and development opportunities within inclusive practice
  • Provide strategic oversight and coordination of project activity, milestones, and outcomes
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of the pilot to inform future service development and scalability
  • Report on progress, impact, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in SEND, inclusive practice, or education project delivery
  • Proven project or programme management experience, ideally within a local authority or education setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, schools, and multi-agency partners
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform strategy and improvement
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
