Special Academy in Sutton is seeking a dedicated and passionate
SEN Teacher to join their exceptional team. The school supports pupils aged
7β18 with a
wide range of ability levels and
additional learning needs, including
complex SEN, medical needs, communication difficulties, and developmental delays.

Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a wide range of needs and abilities
- Differentiate effectively for learners with complex SEN and diverse learning profiles
- Work closely with therapists, support staff and the SENCO to deliver holistic support
- Create a nurturing, structured and motivating learning environment
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, progress reports and personalised learning plans
- Promote independence, communication and positive social development
Requirements:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN, preferably in a special school or complex needs setting
- Strong understanding of autism, PMLD, SLD, and other developmental needs
- Skilled in behaviour support, differentiation and multi-sensory teaching approaches
- Calm, compassionate and able to build strong, trusting relationships
- Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
