We are seeking a
committed and resilient SEN Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is based in a specialist provision in
East London, supporting pupils who require consistency, structure, and strong positive role models.
The Role:- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH needs
- Teach small classes with high staff-to-pupil ratios
- Implement trauma-informed and restorative approaches
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Work closely with behaviour mentors, LSAs, therapists, and safeguarding teams
- Track progress against EHCP targets and individual behaviour plans
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs, or in PRU/Alternative Provision
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A secure understanding of safeguarding and child protection
