Job Description

Locality Business Support Officer, East Midlands  
Pay - £ 14.83 per hour  
 
  • To line manage staff, including supervision, absence management, appropriate disciplinary action and APR and APR review meetings. 
  • To prioritise and organise workloads and ensure consistent cover during absences by effectively working alongside the Business Support Officers. To work closely alongside the Business Support Officers. 
  • To support all Business Support Officers across the Service in keeping system templates and processes fully updated. 
  • To prepare and plan for the completion of Ofsted and any other inspections. 
  • To manage and be responsible for the day-to-day office requirements of stationery, equipment and supplies. 
  • To collect and compile data and to present findings as appropriate.  To support with data cleansing. 
  • To organise, develop and provide training for staff, in their respective areas, as deemed necessary and to develop guidance notes for tasks. 
  • To contribute towards the development of administrative systems, including effective use of IT where appropriate. 
  • To ensure that building/security/concerns are addressed and reported to relevant Managers, including maintaining registers relating to fire alarm tests and fire drills. 
  • To effectively manage appropriate minute takers at all meetings, and to be aware of the confidential and sensitive nature of the work. 
  • To ensure that PCard transactions, Imprest payments and the raising of purchase orders is completed where appropriate 
  • To deal with allocation meetings and update Synergy (database) as required. 
  • To work closely with the Team and Partnership and Family Hub Support Officers 
  •   
  • This role is a full-time 37-hour role for 39 weeks to cover maternity leave.  The role will be based at the Regent Street Office, Loughborough for 2/3 days per week with possible travel to other locality offices.  The other 2/3 days can be worked from home.  Working hours will be 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. with one hour lunch and 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. with one hour lunch on Fridays.  This role will be line managed by the Senior Business Support Officer
