Role: Social Worker

Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £40 per hour

Social Worker Responsibilities

• Duty & Assessment Duties:
• Respond to referrals from the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
• Conduct Section 47 enquiries and complete Single Assessments.
• Attend child protection meetings and core groups.
• Liaise with police, education, and health services to assess risk and need.

• Looked After Children Duties:
• Develop and review care plans for children in care.
• Attend LAC reviews and contribute to permanency planning.
• Prepare initial court statements and provide evidence in care proceedings.
• Maintain regular contact with children and carers, ensuring their voices are heard.

Social Worker Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in statutory child care settings.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures.
• Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively across agencies.
