The Role
A well-regarded secondary school in Walsall is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This long-term assignment involves teaching English across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills.
You’ll take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment, while supporting students to achieve strong outcomes at GCSE level. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department with a clear focus on raising attainment.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a confident English specialist with a passion for literature and language. You should be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from ECTs welcome)
• Experienced teaching English at KS3 and KS4
• Skilled in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
• Committed to maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning
• Organised, reflective, and a strong classroom practitioner
