Duration: 16 weeks (possible extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday + occasional overtime)
Salary: PAYE: £14.13+ per hour | Umbrella: £17.95 per hour

Monmouthshire County Council needs an experienced Grounds Operative (Tree Surgery) to join the Waste & Street Services team at Raglan Depot.
Your Main Duties
- Tree climbing, sectional felling, pruning, crown reduction & lifting
- Aerial rescue
- Safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, MEWPs and all associated arboricultural kit
- Work to the Council’s Tree Policy and current industry best practice
- Site set-up, traffic management and public interaction when required
Essential Qualifications & Tickets (must be in date and evidenced)
- CS30/CS31 (Maintenance & Cross-cutting + Felling Small Trees)
- CS38 (Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue)
- CS39 (Aerial Cutting with Chainsaw)
- Chipper ticket
- Full UK driving licence (ideally with trailer entitlement)
