Salary:- PAYE: £29.24 per hour

Child Protection and Court work? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a
Registered Social Worker to join a
friendly and supportive Children’s Services team in Monmouthshire on a temporary basis to cover a vacancy where permanent recruitment has been unsuccessful.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to support team development while managing complex work within a well-structured service.
What You’ll Do:- Provide quality assurance (QA) support on key documents including safety plans, assessments, and reports.
- Attend Child Protection conferences and professional meetings, supporting and mentoring less experienced social workers when required.
- Oversee a small caseload of complex cases, particularly during a colleague’s sickness absence.
- Offer practical and professional support to the duty team, maintaining a visible office presence.
- Contribute confidently within the Court and Child Protection arenas, ensuring best practice and compliance with legislation.
What We’re Looking For:- A qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Care Wales (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in Child Protection and Court work.
- Strong analytical, report-writing, and quality assurance skills.
- Ability to provide professional guidance and support to colleagues.
- Willingness to work office-based at least 3 days per week as part of a hybrid model.
- Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills.
Essential Requirements:- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Social Care Wales registration.
- Minimum 2 years’ references/work history.
- Signed Confidentiality Agreement.
