Salary:- PAYE: £12.85 per hour
- Umbrella: £16.81 per hour
Are you an organised and customer-focused administrator with strong communication skills? Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking a
Court Usher & Admin Assistant to support the Coroner’s Service on a temporary basis, covering an authorised absence. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital public service within a professional legal environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Coroner’s Service Manager and administrative team to deliver an efficient, high-quality service to all service users.
- Act as a Court Usher, assisting with the smooth running of hearings and court proceedings.
- Provide general administrative support, including handling documentation, correspondence, and records management.
- Liaise professionally with members of the public, legal professionals, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all aspects of work, in line with council policies and legal requirements.

- The ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate clearly at all levels.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (Grade C or above).
- A good standard of general education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Sound knowledge of communication and customer care principles.
