Shopfloor ForemanAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shopfloor Foreman to join a well-established building materials supplier specialising in facade solutions and construction products.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in Construction or Manufacturing, with hands-on CNC machine experience and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities of this Shopfloor Foreman role:- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, assisting in the monitoring of workplace safety.
 - Deliver Toolbox Talks and support H&S initiatives in collaboration with the Production Foreman.
 - Oversee inductions and competency sign-offs for new operatives.
 - Deliver training on new machinery and processes to existing and new team members.
 - Manage new starter induction plans.
 - Create and manage employee work schedules.
 - Supervise and assign daily tasks to shopfloor operatives.
 - Act as the first point of contact for operatives regarding machinery, performance, and attendance issues.
 - Provide regular updates to office management.
 - Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and deadline standards.
 - Address and resolve customer issues or complaints efficiently.
 - Maintain and clean shopfloor equipment and machinery.
 - Operate machinery, including forklifts and CNC machines, as required.
 - Manage tooling and consumables (e.g. saw blades, cutters, drills).
 - Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and well-organised.
 
Experience & Knowledge Required for this Shop Foreman role: - CNC machine operation experience – essential
 - Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment – desirable
 - Forklift Operator’s Licence
 - Strong IT and organisational skills
 - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
