Shopfloor Foreman
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shopfloor Foreman to join a well-established building materials supplier specialising in facade solutions and construction products.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in Construction or Manufacturing, with hands-on CNC machine experience and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities of this Shopfloor Foreman role:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, assisting in the monitoring of workplace safety.
  • Deliver Toolbox Talks and support H&S initiatives in collaboration with the Production Foreman.
  • Oversee inductions and competency sign-offs for new operatives.
  • Deliver training on new machinery and processes to existing and new team members.
  • Manage new starter induction plans.
  • Create and manage employee work schedules.
  • Supervise and assign daily tasks to shopfloor operatives.
  • Act as the first point of contact for operatives regarding machinery, performance, and attendance issues.
  • Provide regular updates to office management.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and deadline standards.
  • Address and resolve customer issues or complaints efficiently.
  • Maintain and clean shopfloor equipment and machinery.
  • Operate machinery, including forklifts and CNC machines, as required.
  • Manage tooling and consumables (e.g. saw blades, cutters, drills).
  • Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and well-organised.
Experience & Knowledge Required for this Shop Foreman role:
  • CNC machine operation experience – essential
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment – desirable
  • Forklift Operator’s Licence
  • Strong IT and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident and professional with strong relationship-building skills
  • Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and willing to learn and develop
  • Capable of working independently and under pressure
  • Well-presented, polite, and professional
  • Flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities
